Do you want your off-water training to improve, or to worsen, your technique?

The process of learning to row has four stages:

  • Firstly learning the concept of balance—centring the body mass
  • Then the co-ordination of legs/body/arms for drive and recovery

  • Lastly, acquiring the skill involved in handling the oar or sculls—a relatively easy skill, but extremely difficult if the first three are not already mastered.
